Harper's Island: The First Season

Harper's Island was a very enjoyable show, sadly it was only a season long, but thats fine, it was amazing anyways! I loved the mystery about the killer and then the whole story of the Island's past was very entertaining, each episode saw the death of a character which sadly included my two favourites Chloe (in episode 11) and Trish (in episode 12).

My Favourite episodes in this season were the last 3- Splash, Gasp and Sigh. I also really loved the 5th episode Thwack. The most appealing thing about this show was that it's basically a Horror movie but split into episodes for TV, I loved every minute and There's so much I would love to say but my finger hurts right now so I won't babble on haha.

One scene that catches my eye from this series is the final scene of Episode 11- Splash which featured the deaths of lovers Cal and Chloe. This scene is so sad and I was very sad to see Chloe die, she was basically the best character on the show, but I loved her death, she refused to let Wakefield kill her which made her death stand out, I loved that she was willing to die to be with Cal (who had been killed a few seconds before). I only wish them two would have survivd and got off the island instead of that little brat Madison.

Another of my favourite scenes is the final scene of Episode 12- Gasp, this scene saw the Bride-to-be Trish die, I had the feeling she wouldn't make it off the island and the saddest thing is, she was only a few hours away from rescue, I loved her death scene though, when Wakefield burst in the house I was like "RUN!!!" and bless her, she had to run barefoot through the woods in her wedding dress, and of course she runs into someone, her fiance Henry, and he seems too calm for his own good and there's a reason - He's the second killer, what happens next really saddens me, he sticks a knife in Trish's side. When she dies i just felt so sorry for her, she was lied to the whole time, Henry telling her he loved her and then he goes and kills her, (he also killed her father in episode 5.)

For those who love horror movies, Harper's Island is a must watch! I'll definetly be buyig the DVD when it's out so I can watch it again and again for years to come. And also - a special shout out to Gavin who introduced me to the show!
